How has yoga changed your day-to-day life? Yoga has transformed my physical body as well as my perspective and mind. It has restored full function of my anatomy: stress induced neck, back injuries as well as knees and feet. It has calmed my mind, brought inner peace, and helped me to love myself.

Tell us an interesting fact about you.
If I sing out in class, I apologize.  I cannot carry a tune.  However, I am very creative and my ear for music fares far better.  On a business note, I am an optimalist and philanthropist.  I have helped deaf and hard of hearing children, their parents and teachers for nearly 20 years, as a life coach, educator and advocate in developing countries as well as in the United States.

What is your favorite quote?
“No pessimist ever discovered the secret of the stars or sailed to an uncharted land, or opened a new doorway for the human spirit"  - Helen Keller

What inspires you?
Music inspires me, and I like all genres.  I also feel rejuvenated and inspired with adventurous endeavors, like climbing to the top of Franconia notch.  Soaking in any vistaand the expanse of the earth’s beauty inspires joy and inner peace.

What is your favorite asana (posture)?
Pigeon or Swan (Yin)

When did you start practicing yoga and why?
The first yoga class I ever took was with my mother over 40 years ago!   We sat on sheep skin rugs and stretched.  I thought, wow, I guess yoga is for old people who can’t do the splits or straddle!  In the last ten years, I‘ve come to know yoga in a new and fresher light.

How do you balance your yoga practice and life?
I think practicing yoga helps me balance my life!  Without it I think life would be too stressful.

What's your biggest fear?
That my knees will give out in a class!

What do you love most about Buddhaful Souls Yoga Studio?
The people, the setting, the support, and the variety of classes and instruction.
