It’s in our hardest moments, where were broken open that we find space for new opportunity. And it was just that broken heart that opened up Courtney’s mind (and hips) to yoga. In the beginning, her yoga mat with beautiful support of her teachers, was a safe space to break down and build her herself back up after years of being so disconnected from her mind and body. From that moment in a tiny studio in Burlington, VT, Courtney knew her life was committed to this path. Courtney has traveled to India to study eastern philosophy and has lived at a Buddhist meditation center in Vermont. It is her objective to merge the meditative mind with a vigorous flow and allow her students a place to just ‘be’ wherever they are in their lives. In a world of chaos and speed, Courtney feels incredibly lucky to share a space with others and offer some gentleness, love, and a really
good play list.
Courtney completed her 200-hr yoga teacher training with Annakathryn at Treetop Yoga and is so grateful to all of her yoga teachers. Outside of the studio,Courtney brings her background of marathon running, self-proclaimed kombucha aficionado, and advocate for the local food movement. She is a RN at MGH and lives in Ipswich with her husband, Sam and their sweet rescue pup, Rosie.
